The Potter's Daughters

Helping Women When Other Programs End

Transitional programs can be a valuable lifeline for women who have faced homelessness or are aging out of foster care. But as they graduate from those programs, they may still face major challenges: finding steady work, managing finances, securing safe housing, and becoming self-sustaining. The Potter's Daughters is designed to provide practical, individualized support during that critical next stage.

Our First Employment Pathway: The Potter's Daughters Cafe.

The cafe creates a real-world work environment where women can build skills, earn wages, gain confidence, and be part of a supportive team. The cafe also gives 100% of its net profit back to the nonprofit.

The cafe is the first part of the plan. Over time, The Potter’s Daughters nonprofit intends to develop additional employment opportunities, housing options, and support systems that will help women move from surviving to thriving.

About the Cafe

About the Founders

As a family and a business rooted in faith, we resonate deeply with the Scriptural imagery of the potter and his clay (Isaiah 64:8). While clay is only dirt made into mud, it can be molded into something meaningful with careful handiwork. The work can be tedious, and oftentimes difficult. We believe that with guidance from God, and support from the community, everyone can become something beautiful from the clay that is their life. Sometimes all that is missing are the proper tools to aid the strength and shape already in the hands. It is not just the product that is beautiful, but the process as well, the gift of reflective guidance from the potter to the daughter.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
