Transitional programs can be a valuable lifeline for women who have faced homelessness or are aging out of foster care. But as they graduate from those programs, they may still face major challenges: finding steady work, managing finances, securing safe housing, and becoming self-sustaining. The Potter's Daughters is designed to provide practical, individualized support during that critical next stage.
The cafe creates a real-world work environment where women can build skills, earn wages, gain confidence, and be part of a supportive team. The cafe also gives 100% of its net profit back to the nonprofit.
The cafe is the first part of the plan. Over time, The Potter’s Daughters nonprofit intends to develop additional employment opportunities, housing options, and support systems that will help women move from surviving to thriving.
